art, etc. - earth art @SMFA

I love this new earth art piece by a student at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, located outside the School. It is a steel sculpture, arranged to look like it is growing out of the earth and covered in dandelions. How creative and beautiful!

The colors and shapes remind me of this gray and neon yellow knitted scarf by the knit kid.

swim, etc. - albertine

I am on Block Island this weekend, which has gotten me thinking about swim suits. I am currently obsessed with this photograph bikini from the french label Albertine.

I originally heard about Albertine on the blog Greedy Girl, which I follow on bloglovin.

This suit in particular reminds me of the work of photographer Richard Misrach. A few years ago he had a show at the National Gallery called On the Beach, which consisted of large scale photographs of beach goers in Hawaii, taken from above via a high rise hotel room. Today I visited Art in Bloom at the MFA. The museum commissions florists to create arrangements inspired by works of art. Here are some of my favs:
