jewelry, etc. - upper finger rings

I saw this post for DIY upper finger rings on the blog a pair and a spare a few weeks ago and I wasn't sure what I thought about it.

They have been showing up everywhere recently and I am growing to like them.

I may have to make some for myself this weekend! What do you think?
